What is Pilates Fusion?
Pilates Fusion incorporates Pilates, yoga, and dance into its repertoire with focus on proper alignment and positioning, low repetitions, and a sequential flow of movements that help to produce strength and agility with flexibility and balance for all ages and levels of fitness.
In a Just Breathe Pilates class, the strengthening exercises are more effective in developing lean muscle mass than weight lifting because you are using your own body weight as resistance. When you increase your lean muscle mass, your metabolic rate increases allowing you to produce more energy and burn more calories. The stretching that immediately follows the strengthening will prevent muscle bulk and it will enable you to increase your flexibility and range of motion. Your posture will improve and the inches will redistribute. Your buttocks will begin to be more lifted, the quadriceps will be more pulled up, and your chest will be more open. It will even feel like you’ve grown a couple of inches! |
